What is Commercial Heat Trace Cable?

Commercial Heat Trace Cable / Heat Tape is used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and fixtures.

The process of heat tracing involves using an electrical heating element to run on top of the pipe or fixture. The pipe is covered with thermal insulation to retain heat losses from the pipe.

The heat generated by the heat trace cable maintains the temperature of the pipe protecting pipes from freezing. Heat trace cable is used with heat trace tape to maintain a constant flow temperature in hot water systems.
